Near the Sitges villa
Sitges & Barcelona
- The beaches: 17 beaches along the Sitges seafront, from busy town beaches to quieter coves.
- The old town: whitewashed streets, the church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla on the seafront, and plenty of bars and restaurants.
- Festivals: Sitges is famous for its carnival in February and its international film festival in October.
- Wine country: the Penedès vineyards are just inland.
- Barcelona: about 30 minutes away by car or train for a day in the city.
Near the Santa Pola villa
Santa Pola & the Costa Blanca
- Beaches: long sandy stretches and picturesque coves, with water sports along the coast.
- The castle-fortress: the 16th-century Castillo-Fortaleza in the town centre.
- Golf: several golf courses near Santa Pola, the nearest within 10 minutes.
- Tabarca island: boats run from Santa Pola harbour to the little island of Tabarca.
- Alicante: the city, its castle and seafront are a short drive away.
